Meet new friends, have fun at tech summer camps

School’s out and if you want to do more than just hang with friends all summer, here are some cool summer camps where you can meet new people while learning some awesome tech skills.


Digital Media Academy Camp - Toronto

Ranked as one of the ten best summer camps in the world by, Digital Media Academy is led by former Stanford educators and interactive education and entertainment creators from Apple and Walt Disney Studios.

The camp specializes in video game design, app development, robotics, computer engineering, programming and web design. With its specialized courses for kids, teens, and adults, the program proves that it’s never too early or too late to start picking up on some cool tech skills.


Girls Learning Code Summer Camps - Toronto

Girls Learning Code camps help 8 to 13 year olds unleash their creativity and discover their tech passions. The July 15 to 19 summer camp is all about webmaking - a critical skill in today’s world.

In August, Girls Learning Code runs a camp on inventing, where girls get creative by taking tech inventions apart and putting them back together piece by piece! 


Toronto Humber College YMCA Day CampToronto

Kids can have all the fun in July and August at Humber’s computer animation, photography or robotics weeklong camps. The camps provide hands-on learning using professional equipment and participating in some cool projects that you can share with your friends and family!


Upper Canada College (UCC) Tech Day Camps - Toronto

The UCC day camps run all summer long and cover different topics and interests such as art, filmmaking, gaming and even outer space!


Science Explorations and Engineering Exploration Summer Camps – York University, Toronto

York University offers weeklong science camps in July and August that explore mechanical engineering and other science fields in fun ways through activities like designing and building personal protective helmets and using tech tools to complete some cool job tasks.


DEEP Summer Academy - Toronto + Central Ontario

The University of Toronto’s Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering’s DEEP Summer Academy provides high school students with study opportunities in July in a variety of engineering, technology and science courses.

Besides courses in rocket science, robotics, biomedical engineering and mining, DEEP also provides an outdoor wilderness leadership camp July 8 to 19 to help you become an exceptional young leader.


Thinnox Design and Technology Camps - Mississauga

Thinnox Camps are ideal for creative youth who want to explore gaming, filmmaking, portfolio building and putting together something they can bring home. All cool tech inventions and trends like 3D design, robotics, mobile app development and others are explored in these subject-related camps.


Lego Robotics and Science and Tech Camp - Durham Region

The University of Ontario Institute of Technology has cool tech programs for 6 to 14 year olds running this July and August that focus on LEGO robotics, as well as experimenting with science and nature to build cool things and solve science mysteries.


Real Programming 4 Kids - Ontario

Less of a camp, more of a real video game experience! From June to August, a variety of game development summer courses are offered in seven Ontario locations for youth aged 7 to 17. This program is cool because it offers a more personalized learning experience with a limit of four students per instructor!
