Think your high school students could benefit from tech professionals sharing their stories and the many opportunities of tech careers? The CareerMash Role Model program currently operates in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area, Hamilton and Kitchener-Waterloo.
Role models are trained to talk about their experiences with technology in engaging, creative and fun ways that excite students about how they can mash up their personal interests with tech for a well paying, in-demand career. Many of our role models also demonstrate the variety of apps, programs and devices they’ve helped develop.
Our program isn’t just for tech-related classes. Role Models talk to 8,000+ students each year in a wide range classes such as Career Studies, English, Fine Art and Business.
The CareerMash Role Model program can accommodate classes of any size. Have more than one class you would like to get involved? Great! We offer options for educators to bring these presentations to more students by visiting multiple classes in one day or having an assembly with a panel of three or four guest speakers presenting to your student body.
Getting started is easy. Simply complete the Role Model booking request form here. Our manager of community outreach will connect with you to get a better sense of what you are looking for and ensure you have the best presentation possible.
Once you have confirmed your participation, you will receive an email connecting you with a role model from your community as well as a resource guide to walk you through the process and how to get the most from your Role Model presentation.
